321 Stainless Steel Description
321 Stainless Steel is a titanium-stabilized Chromium Nickel Austenitic Stainless Steel,with good intergranular corrosion resistance and high temperature strength,also has high mechanical strength and creep resistance at high temperatures, suitable for long-term use in high temperature environments. It has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 800 – 1500°F (427 – 816°C).
Alloy 321H is the higher carbon (0.04 – 0.10) version of 321 steel. It was developed for enhanced creep resistance and for higher strength at temperatures above 1000oF (537°C).321H has increased carbon content on the basis of 321 stainless steel,it has better creep resistance at high temperature, to further enhance the strength and oxidation resistance at high temperature, and is suitable for equipment and components working in high temperature environment for a long time.
SS321 material cannot be hardened by heat treatment, only by cold working.321 Stainless Steel also features superior corrosion resistance and withstands tensile stress and stress fractures better than 304 Stainless Steel.

Type 321 Stainless Steel is an austenitic stainless steel. It has many of the same qualities of Type 304, except for a higher level of titanium and carbon.
Type 321 offers outstanding corrosion and oxidation resistance, as well as excellent toughness even down to cryogenic temperatures. 321 Stainless is resistant to atmospheric corrosion, sterilizing solutions, many organic chemicals, and a wide variety of inorganic chemicals.
